The house
A bright attic apartment, the lake out front
Casa La Becca is a 55 m² one-bedroom apartment tucked under the roof on the second floor of a small villa, on a dead-end street where traffic simply never comes. The house faces south-east, so the rooms fill with light from the morning on, and from the private terrace and balcony — with a barbecue and deckchairs — the view runs straight out over Lake Como.
Inside you'll find a living room with a 160 cm double sofa bed, satellite TV and doors onto the balcony; a bedroom with a 160 cm double bed; a kitchen fully equipped with induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher and coffee machine; and a bathroom with a shower. Parquet floors throughout, and a shared terraced garden where you can have breakfast looking out over the water.
There's room for 2 adults and 2 children: we'll set up a cot and a high chair for you, free of charge — just ask.
The terrace
You'll drink your coffee looking at the lake
The terrace and balcony are private, all yours: a table under the wooden roof for slow breakfasts, deckchairs for the afternoon, a barbecue for the evening. In front of you, the lake changing colour with the hours, and the mountains on the opposite shore.
It's where you'll end up spending more time than you expect — we're telling you now, so you don't pack your days too full.
The interiors
Light, wood and a yellow kitchen that makes you smile
The attic living room opens onto the terrace through large wooden-framed glass doors: warm parquet underfoot, a comfortable sofa bed, satellite TV. The yellow kitchen is genuinely complete — induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine — because cooking on holiday should be a pleasure, not a compromise.
The bedroom, with its double bed and large wardrobe, is quiet and pleasantly dim in the evening. The bathroom has a shower and a washing machine — handy when you're travelling light.
Domaso and the lake
250 metres and you're on the water
Domaso is one of the liveliest villages on upper Lake Como: beaches, sailing and windsurfing, a lakeside promenade for strolling, restaurants and gelato shops. From the house, a three-minute walk takes you to the lake, the marina and the centre of the village.
The Como–Menaggio–Colico bus stop is also 250 metres away: you can explore the lake without ever touching the car — which meanwhile sits happily in the covered parking spot that comes with the house.
And when you get back, the shared terraced garden with its sun loungers is waiting for you to catch the last of the afternoon sun.
